The CW’s ‘Arrow’ and ABC’s Nashville Premieres Tonight

Two of the more promising new shows premieres tonight.

The CW’s Arrow stars a very ripped Stephen Amell (Hung) as a recently rescued-from-a-deserted-island son of a billionaire who becomes a vigilante.  Oliver Queen, battered in body and spirit returns five years later to a town he doesn’t recognize.  He dons a green hood and uses his newly acquired bow and arrow skills to rid the streets of the criminal elements that have tarnished the once vibrant city.  The series also stars Katie Cassidy (Melrose Place), Paul Blackthorne (The Dresden Files), Willa Holland (The O.C.) and Susanna Thompson (Once & Again).

ABC’s Nashville stars Connie Britton (American Horror Story) as Rayna James, an aging country music veteran who is asked by her label to open for a popular newcomer Juliette Barnes played by Hayden Panettiere (Heroes).  Rayna’s dad is played by Powers Boothe (Deadwood) who is grooming her husband played by Eric Close (Without a Trace) to run for mayor.  Jonathan Jackson (General Hospital), Sam Palladio (Episodes) and Clare Bowen (Home and Away) are up-and-coming singers in the Nashville music scene.

Watch Arrow at 8/7 central on the CW and Nashville 10/9 central on ABC.

About Entertainment Phile

Do what I love and give back. Those are the main ideologies for this site. I get to post topics near and dear to me and have a place to share it with others. I’ve been an entertainment junkie since I was born. There are so many outlets out there that provides entertainment news but the content was never enough to satisfy my appetite for more in-depth coverage. Spurned on by curiosity and motivated to find the answers, I’ve logged many hours looking for the latest updates on everything entertainment related. As a recipient of all this new found information, I hope this will be a resource for news about movies, TV shows, books and all things entertainment.
