Casting Announcements for ‘American Horror Story: Asylum’

 

The talented veteran British actor Ian Mcshane of HBO’s Deadwood fame andPirates of Caribbean: On Stranger Tide is joining the cast of American Horror Story: Asylum.  Mcshane earned a much deserved Golden Globe and Emmy nomination for his portrayal of Al Swearengen.

According to show creator Ryan Murphy, Ian Mcshane’s character will go toe to toe with Jessica Lange’s Sister Jude.

The cast of season 2 is getting better and better.

Emmy winner Eric Stonestreet from Modern Family made a memorable cameo in season 1 of American Horror Story: Asylum as the psychiatric patient of Dylan McDermott’s Dr. Ben Harmon.  Eric Stonestreet’s character was deathly afraid of the urban legend “Piggy Man” and met his unfortunate end in the bathroom.

In season 2 of American Horror Story: Asylum, he will play a killer.

The new season of American Horror Story: Asylum premieres Wednesday, October 17 10/9 central on FX.
