Robert Redford’s ‘The Company You Keep’ Premieres at The Venice International Film Festival


Shia LaBeouf and Robert Redford attended the premiere of The Company You Keep at the 69th Annual Venice International Film Festival.

Redford both starred in and directed the film based on a novel of the same name by Neil Gordon.  Redford is Jim Grant, a former Weather Underground militant accused of a bank robbery and murder.  He is wanted by the FBI and went in hiding for 30 years posing as an Albany attorney.  Shia LaBeouf is Ben Shepard, a tenacious Albany reporter who uncovers Grant’s secret.  With his secret exposed, Grant becomes a fugitive and goes looking for an ex-lover who can clear his name.

Also starring in the film is Susan Sarandon, Julie Christie, Terrence Howard, Anna Kendrick, Brendan Gleeson, Sam Elliot, Nick Nolte, Brit Marling and Stanley Tucci.
