Pictures of the ‘True Blood Season’ 5 Finale

Pictures for the season 5 finale of True Blood were released.  The past seasons have used author, Charlaine Harris’ books as the framework for some of the story arcs.  It’s true, the HBO series and the Harris’ books are completely different animals.  This current season, however, has gone completely off the Charlaine Harris reservation with story arcs all its own.   The convoluted story lines included evil Bill, a fire consuming ifrit, Sanguinistas, and the annoying vampire authority.

Show creator Alan Ball, who is stepping down as the day-to-day showrunner, promised a big body count at the end of the season.  Here’s hoping those scheduled for the chopping block include Eric’s pointless sister, Nora (Lucy Griffiths) and ineffective Salome (Valentina Cervi).

In a recent interview with, Stephen Moyer who plays Bill Compton talked about the turn his character has taken this season.

“‘Can I make sense of what’s happening here?  Is this authentic?’  And if you can’t sort of find a through line of authenticity, then you can play that beat – which might come across to somebody else as evil.  (But) there were a couple of things that were tough to play, and one of those was with Deborah Ann (Woll).”

The True Blood season 5 finale airs Sunday 9/8c on HBO.
