Collider has new production photos from the fourth film in the Mad Maxfranchise, Mad Max: Fury Road. There are shots of some post-apocalyptic vehicles and weaponry.
Principal photography for George Miller’s dystopian action-adventure started in July and filming is taking place in Africa. The film stars Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises) in the role of Max Rockatansky and Academy award winner Charlize Theron (Prometheus) as Imperator Furiosa.
According to creator and director, George Miller, the film has Mad Max caught up with a group of people fleeing across the desert wasteland on a war rig driven by Imperator Furiosa. He reveals the movie is an account of the Road War and “it is based on the Word Burgers of the History Men and eyewitness accounts of those who survived.”
The film also stars Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: First Class) as Nux, Hugh Keays-Byrne (Mad Max) as Immortan Joe, Nathan Jones (Conan the Barbarian) as Rictus Erectus, Josh Helman as Slit, Jennifer Hagan as Miss Giddy, iOTA as Coma-Doof Warrior, Abbey Lee Kershaw as The Dag, and Courtney Easton as Fragile. The Wives are played by Zoe Kravitz (X-Men: First Class) as Toast, Riley Keough (Magic Mike) as Capable, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (Transformers: Dark of the Moon) as Splendid.
The crazy character names and plot have our interest peaked. We can’t wait to see more from the movie.
