Slow-Burn for Annie Walker and Auggie Anderson on ‘Covert Affairs’

The USA Network spy drama, Covert Affairs is five episodes into the Season 3.  At the end of the Season 2 finale, an Annie Walker (Piper Perabo) and Auggie Anderson (Christopher Gorham) hook-up looked hopeful.  Sadly, other than an undercover assignment where the two friends and colleagues pretended to be husband and wife, we haven’t seen any progression of the relationship this season.  Auggie proposed to girlfriend Parker Rowland (Devin Kelley) who wound up breaking off the engagement.  Annie became entangled in a mission where she romanced Simon Fisher (Richard Coyle), a suspected Russian spy.

Now that Auggie is single again, it leaves fans wondering if there will be any traction on the relationship front between the two characters.  Piper Perabo talked about the state of the relationship with TV Guide.

” ‘It’s going to be a slow burn,’ star Piper Perabo says about a possible on-screen romance with co-star Chris Gorham.  ’There are definitely a few moments where Annie tries to get the courage to say something and there are even a couple of times where she says things and he doesn’t understand what she’s trying to tell him. It gets frustrating for Annie.’ “
