More Fall-out for Kristen Stewart After Cheating Scandal With Married ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ Director

There’s more fall-out for Kristen Stewart after her cheating scandal with married Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders.  Kristen Stewart dropped out of the Nick Cassavetes (The Notebook) directed Cali.  No explanation was given for Stewart’s departure from the project that she was also set to executive produce.  The role was rumor to be offered to Amber Heard (The Rum Diary) and also stars Alex Pettyfer.  The movie is about two lovers who make and sell a fake snuff movie then disappear with the proceeds.  They only re-emerge when the female lead’s sister gets in trouble.

Universal is going ahead with the Snow White and the Huntsman sequel as a spinoff movie for Chris Hemsworth’s Huntsman character.  The movie starred Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth and was a modest success for the studio, grossing $389.2 million worldwide with a budget of about $170 million.  It’s unclear why the studio decided to proceed with the sequel without Kristen Stewart.   The studio will save millions without Stewart as the lead since the actress commands a hefty salary being one of Hollywood’s highest paid actresses.
