The 2012 London Summer Olympics Closing Ceremony

The London 2012 Summer Olympics is officially over with last night’s closing ceremony.  London did an excellent job hosting the games.  The closing ceremony was a stunning spectacle that highlighted the music and fashion of London.  It’s bittersweet to say good-bye to the games that gave us so many thrilling moments such as Michael Phelps making Olympic history with his 22 medals and the fab-five taking home gold for the U.S.A in women’s gymnastics.

Performances at last night’s closing ceremony included One Direction, George Michael, Jessie J, Madness, Pep Shop Boys, Annie Lennox, Take That, The Who, Muse, Kaiser Chiefs, Beady Eye with Liam Gallagher, Fatboy Slim, Taio Cruz, Tinie Tempah, Ed Sheeran, Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason, Genesis’ Mike Rutherford, The Feeling’s Richard Jones, Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen, and a Spice Girl reunion.
